Privacy notice for this website

Who we are

This website is run by Aventelli Group, the company behind Telli 5. telli5.com sends visitors to the same pages on www.tellifive.com, so this one notice covers both addresses.

What we collect

We collect what you type into our two forms, plus visit statistics from Google Analytics (see below):

• Join the pilot: your name, your email, what you would use Telli 5 for most, and your confirmation that you live in the US and have read this notice. We also ask your date of birth, but only to check that you are 18 or older; we don't store it.
• Contact form: your name, your email, the topic you pick and your message.

We also note the date and time each form arrives. Please don't send health details, ID numbers or passwords.

What we don't collect

• No advertising trackers, and no cookies other than Google Analytics' (below).
• Google Analytics is the only outside script. Our fonts and images are served from our own site.
• We don't store your IP address with your form. To stop spam, we keep a scrambled one-way code made from it for about 10 minutes, and it can't be turned back into the address.
• Your browser keeps a small note for this tab so that Telli 5's greeting doesn't pop up on every page. It stays on your device and clears when you close the tab. If you turn analytics off, or if the date of birth you enter shows you are under 18, your browser also remembers that.

Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful, so we can improve the site. It sets cookies that hold a random ID, and sends Google the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or region). It doesn't receive what you type into our forms, and we never link the two.

• Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. We don't use this data for advertising.
• Google keeps the data for no more than 14 months.
• If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, analytics doesn't load at all.

How we use it

• To confirm your request, invite you to the pilot and email you about it.
• To reply to your message, and to send you one automatic email confirming we received it.
• To keep the forms safe from spam and abuse.
• To understand, in total, how people use the site.

We don't sell your details, share them for advertising or add you to marketing lists.

Where it is kept and who helps us

Form entries are saved in private files on our web host, Hostinger, in a folder that can't be opened from the web. A copy of each entry is emailed to our team inbox, which is provided by Google. Visit statistics go to Google Analytics, as described above. Like any web host, Hostinger handles standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the site secure. We share your details with no one else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep pilot sign-ups until the pilot ends, then delete them unless you have joined Telli 5. We keep contact messages for up to 12 months after our last reply. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete what you sent us, or ask us to stop emailing you. Use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”, or reply to any email a person on our team sends you. We'll answer within 30 days.

Age

The pilot is for adults 18 and over who live in the US. This website is not meant for children. If we learn that a child has sent us their details, we will delete them.

The Telli 5 app

This notice covers the website only. How the Telli 5 app handles your chats is summarized on our Trust page, and will be set out in full in the privacy policy before launch.

Changes

If we change this notice, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
